(interferon alfa-2b, recombinant) for Injection
This product qualifies for the Merck Access Program. This program provides free reimbursement support services to help answer questions related to insurance coverage and reimbursement. The Merck Access Program also refers patients to the patient assistance program, which provides certain Merck medicines free of charge to eligible individuals, primarily the uninsured, who, without our assistance, could not afford these needed Merck medicines. If you do not meet the prescription drug coverage criteria, your income meets the program criteria, and there are special circumstances of financial and medical hardship that apply to your situation, you can request that an exception be made for you.
Who May Qualify
You may qualify for patient assistance* if you meet all 3 of the following conditions:
You are a US resident and have a prescription for a Merck product from a health care provider licensed in the United States.†
You do not have insurance or other coverage for your prescription medicine.
You cannot afford to pay for your medicine. You may qualify for the patient assistance program if you have a household income of $60,300 or less for individuals, $81,200 or less for couples, or $123,000 or less for a family of 4.‡
Referrals from the Merck Access Program to the Merck Patient Assistance Program are primarily designed to help those who do not have insurance coverage; however, if you have insurance, including if you are in Medicare Part D, but still have trouble paying for your medicines, you may request that an exception be made for you, provided that your income is not above a set limit.
* Offered through the Merck Patient Assistance Program, Inc.
† You do not have to be a US citizen. Legal residents of the United States, including US Territories, are also eligible.
